it all started with a birthday surprise for one of the girls (i reckon it's shiela payat's), then we had to come up with something to be printed on the 'FROM:' section of the balloons. if you have no idea what i'm talking about, lemme show you a typical birthday balloon many years ago..

ours was relatively tighter(LOL) cos halfway through there was another passenger, so we had to squeeze behind! hahahah it was damn funny. luthel and peput kept arguing about the non-existent space. hahah and halfway they dropped smth! then luthel refused to go pick it up alone. HAHAHA it was rather.. dark. hahaha

then we finally reached the bus terminal! :D the bus had to take a 15-min ferry to cross over, and so we got out of the bus to take pictures! hehe

US Airways Flight 1549 was en route to Charlotte, North Carolina from LaGuardia with 150 passengers and five crew (two pilots and three flight attendants) on board.
It went down in the Hudson River on Thursday after taking off from LaGuardia Airport at 3:26PM EST (2026 GMT) time, and everyone aboard was able to off the plane and alive after landing on water.
It all happened after a bird or flock of birds is sucked into the jet during takeoff, then pilot declared emergency and wanted to go back to Laguardia airport but couldn't make it since both engine failed.

i always ignore those safety videos/live demostrations (budget airline! hahah) they make you watch on airplanes cos i've seen them countless of times (i prefer watching the wings and the view outside my window seat :D). i'm confident enough to be able to inflate my life vest(outside the aircraft! hahaha), put my mask on (and know that there's oxygen even if it's like deflated), and blah blah blahs in any case some unfortunate event in the future.
but yeah. this incident was yet another reminder i suppose, that you'll just never know when such tragedies can take place. and my golly, a flock of birds?!?! poor birdies. :(

i personally hate flying. >:(
have i already mentioned that somewhere? it's uncomfortable, it dries up your skin, makes your neck and back ache, and it just makes you feel ugh. hahah not to mention the MINUTE baggage allowance! :X and if you're very lucky, ANNOYING row-mates. :P i'd choose by sea than by air/land ANYDAY. if only i had the time! :P but, i can be pretty happy sometimes even when i travel by plane..

LOL.
and that's because..

i had the whole row to myself! :DDD hehehe. slept like a baby throughout the whole flight. hehe
a baby with body aches afterwards after an hour though. but halfway through i shifted and i managed to bend and contort myself into a more comfortable position! :D contort into comfort. how ironic. hahas

then once we were feeling 'warm' enough (hahaha)... we headed to the jetty for our exchanging of gifts! :D

LOL we gave it to juwelyn's friend who happened to be there . so yeah. lucky friend. :P i don't like gin anyway! :P

BBC NEWS: Balkan Heartbreak a hit in Berlin

The Museum of Broken Relationships asks people in the cities it visits to donate mementos of everything from short flings to painful divorces. (ehem ehem)

"It's such a nice, simple idea, because everyone can relate to it (me thinks so too)," he told the BBC News website.

Members of the public are asked to give or donate an object, along with a short description of what it means to them, the time of the relationship, and where they are from.

"Even if the objects seem ordinary the stories are very individual and they make the exhibition come alive," Mr Dobrovic said.

"People really enjoy being here, we get couples who spend a long time here, looking and laughing and hoping it never happens to them, and then people who've just broken up who want to tell us their stories," he added.

Cathartic effect
The idea was born when two Zagreb artists, Olinka Vistica and Drazen Grubisic, split up and wanted to do something creative with the pain they were feeling.

"The exhibition comes from a sincere, universal experience and helped us in our break-up process", Ms Vistica told the BBC News website.

The artists decided to collect the objects left over from their relationship and put them on display and asked their friends to do the same.

Ms Vistica says the exhibition can have a therapeutic effect.

"The normal impulse is to destroy the mementos of a relationship in order to recover, but we thought of using creativity to overcome the pain of the experience and also remember the joy those objects once held for us," she said.

The cathartic effect is evident in some of the descriptions accompanying the objects.

One woman donated an axe and described chopping up the furniture of her cheating female lover. (HAHAHAHHAHHAHA)

"The more her room filled up with chopped up furniture, the more I started to feel better. Two weeks after she was kicked out she came to take the furniture. It was neatly arranged into small heaps and fragments of wood." (OMG!!!!)

After Berlin the exhibition travels to Belgrade, Skopje and Stockholm and there are plans for possible shows in Tokyo, New York and Sao Paulo.

before leaving sg, met up with some of the council peeps for our "annual christmas dinner". haahha. fine, not really an annual dinner but just a get-together since it's been like f o r e v e r since the last time we met. :P

we were supposed to go to the ben & jerry's chunk fest and eat free ice cream till we they grow fat and be merry. :DD hahah but HOB and froggy were early so they checked out the place first and told us that well.. it wasn't that fab and the queue for the fwee ice cweam was super longggg. :(( so we decided to just meet up at ps to have dinner. met up with jan baby and shuhui dahling since they were at city hall too. :D i sidetracked to buy a new pair of black pants for the trip cos mine's already so faded and a lil torn here and there. anyway, we were so lazy we mrt-ed to dhoby gaut. hahah

i've mentioned this a few times in my recent posts on what i have for the coming holidays, and basically, i'll be away for two weeks... with a group of other NUS people, we'll be staying in a school in montalban (don't look at me, i've never been there either!) and we'll be interacting and conducting "classes" for the kids there, the exciting and fun kind of classes! :D hahaha REALLY! i'm looking forward to the art & craft sessions and as well as the christmas party for them and many other activities! :DDD
it's been some time since i've done this, and i'm really excited! ((: can you see my excited face? hahahah

oh oh oh! you know what's the best part of it all?
i'm doing it in my own country *patriotic face*
and i paid using my own money! ((:
umm well, technically it's from my parents and from my part-time job pay. but still! hahaha
PLUS! i'll get to meet pigrass and friends at the end of the trip since it's in manila! :D
i'm so happy how everything's put into place nicely. (:

anyway, i was just browsing at pictures from similar trips during JC. and here's a few from pekan bahru, indo and yunan, china. :D

#1 i eat my fries this way: dip into mayonaise, then tomato ketchup, and lastly chili sauce- preferably chili garlic! but they(mac) don't have that anymore. :( oh yah, in that order. HAHAHA

#2 tequila shots are my weakness. i may have very low alcohol tolerance, but i'm proud to say i've never been (and will never be) drunk. :D i just need a teenie weenie dose to get high. i'm naturally high enough. :P

#3 i can play the violin! :D though i stopped taking lessons ever since i came to singapore :((( fret not, i will continue it... somehow! :D

#4 i still buy stickers. HAHAHAH i have very kiddy tendencies. :P

#5 i feel really incomplete without my camera. and i would like to take up photography in the future, when i'm LOADED with moolahs. or when someone loaded wants to sponsor me! (: hehe

#6 yes, i'm a psychology major, but no, i can't psychoanalyze you. oh, and i can't read your mind either. hahahha

#7 1/2 of my memory space is probably taken up by song lyrics. hahaha

#8 in line with #7, i like to sing and dance in the toilet, when i believe nobody else is around. you see, i have always dreamt of performing in a musical! (:

#9 i still don't know what's my favourite flower, i guess i just like flowers in general. perhaps a huuuuuuuuge boquet of gerberas?

#10 recently, i've began to like running whenever i feel lonely/stressed/bored. definitely much healthier than retail therapy! (: i don't like the word 'cute'. unless it's used in the context of babies or puppies or kitty kittens and bunnies and hamsters. (:
